The day I met this koan in The way of Zen by Alan Watts I knew it was love at first hearing (cause we all recite silently inside our heads while reading visually, don't we?). This is an offering... my humble attempt of seeking truth without judgement or opinion:

The Zen master claps his hands and says to the pupil:
"When two hands clap there is sound. But, what is the sound of one hand?"

I remember I was gardening. The new passion flower cutting was looking sad and I began to doubt if that was a good spot for her. What if she didn't make it? I was responsible for her... and then it hit me... that sudden moment of pure clarity when all veils banish away and you know without even knowing, you just feel it within and spreads all over...

Some days later, the passion flower spoke her way...
